Mohammad Shahzad has been fined after playing for Pakistan Club

Mohammad Shahzad recently played a phenomenal match wining with 84 against West Indies. He played for Afghanistan and won the match in the final of World Cup Qualifiers 2018. Previously, Mohammad Shahzad was banned for one year after failing the doping test. He returned after one year and was doing very well. He has made the team won against the West Indies in the qualifiers 2018 for Cricket world cup 2019. But, again Shahzad has been fined for playing in the Pakistan club.

The wicketkeeper Mohammad Shahzad has been fined once again. He was caught playing for a Pakistani cricket club without the permission. The official news was passed by the Afghan association member on this Monday. After a one year ban in last year itself, again Shahzad has disappointed the Afghanistan Cricket board (ACB). The Afghanistan cricket association has been made many expectations of the wicketkeeper, but this time also the player has done trouble. He was caught playing for a Pakistani club in Peshawar. Reportedly Shahzad has spent his early life in Peshawar, and so he has some attachment towards it. This may be his personal choices, but being a member of Afghanistan Cricket Team she should take permission from the association. As he was found playing for another Tournament without permission he has been given an ultimatum to either move back to Afghanistan in a month’s time or lose his central contract. He may be also banned for Cricket world cup 2019, if he repeats such things again. After this ultimatum, he has also been fined a penalty. Mohammad Shahzad has been ordered to pay 300000 Afghanis to the association. After paying the amount as a penalty, the player has to return the Afghanistan. The association has ordered to the cricketer to return after the local tournament held in Peshawar, Pakistan. Peshawar is located in a Pakistani city near the afghan border.

Mohammad Shahzad has been in such situations previously also. Many times he has faced such illegal situations, which has made him to be away from the matches for months. Last year he has been banned for one year. He was also suspended for two matches in Zimbabwe for slamming his bat on the pitch. He was dismissed for that incident in a qualifying match. He was not allowed to play for two matches for that mistake. After three months of that incident Mohammad Shahzad has been banned for one year for doping case. So, these have been repeatedly happening for Shahzad and he has been banned from not playing cricket for many times.

The Stanikzai said that- “If this is repeated again, next time he might be banned from playing cricket.” Adding to his statements he also said that- We have a strong structure for our domestic cricket so we do not see the need for people to go and play for clubs outside Afghanistan.” The Afghanistan cricket association has said that if the player repeats such things again then he might be banned from playing cricket also. The statement was released by Stanikzai that-“If this happens again, next time he might be banned from playing cricket.” He said that there are plenty of cricket that’s happening here now. He also said that-“We have a strong structure for our domestic cricket so we do not see the need for people to go and play for clubs outside Afghanistan.” Mohammad Shahzad went to Pakistan right after coming from Zimbabwe last month. After qualifying the match for the world cup 2019, he went to Pakistan for playing the club tournaments. For playing in the Pakistan club he has no permission from the ACB. According to the ACB, any player who wants to play out of the team for another state, they should take permission from the Board. They should have “no objection certificate” approved by the State cricket association.
