India moves to no.1 rank in latest ICC Test rankings but threatens to loss it to Pakistan if loss or draw against West Indies in the final Test

India, after their series win 2-0 against the West Indies with still one match to play and Sri Lanka’s series win against Australia 3-0 in the recently concluded test series helped India to move to no.1 place in ICC test rankings with 112 rating points. Australia lost 10 points with the series loss against the Lankans dropped to third position with 108 rating points. Pakistan who won leveled the series 2-2 recently against England climbed to 2nd place with 111 points while the latter settled at 4th position with 108 rating points. However there are chances for Pakistan to reach the top spot in the rankings if India loses or draws its final test match against the Caribbean’s in the 4th and final test match that is going to start on 18th, August, 2016. If India loses the match it will drop down to 4th position with 108 rating points, whereas a draw will help them settle with 110 points at second position behind Pakistan. So, the final between India and West Indies would be interesting to see as it looks like virtual fight between the arch rivals India & Pakistan where India losing or drawing the match seems like losing its top spot to Pakistan in ICC Test rankings.
