Sunrisers hyderabad (SRH) won the eliminator match against Kolkata Knight Riders

Sunrisers hyderabad (SRH) won the eliminator match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 22 runs to lock horns with Gujarat Lions (GL) in the second qualifier match at Feroz shah Kotla stadium in Delhi on 27th May, 2016.

After winning the toss KKR invited SRH to bat first. Shikar Dhawan started well with a couple of boundaries but lost his wicket to Morkel. Gambir bringing in Yusuf Pathan earlier than expected to bowl a few overs created pressure but Warner and Henriques continued with a decent partnership of 59 runs and departed in successive deliveries to Kuldeep Yadav. with Yuvraj Singh coming into the crease and playing a handy knock of 44 and camoes from Deepak Hooda and Bipul Sharma helped SRH to post a total of 162 runs in 20 overs.

KKR started the chase with Robin Uthappa and Gautam Gambhir opening the batting. Uthappa lost his wicket for 11 runs, then Gambhir and Colin munro added 38 runs for the second wicket and KKR started losing in periodic intervals. It is then the young guns Suryakumar Yadav and Manish Pandey who kept the scoreboard ticking but couldn't stand tall before some exceptional death bowling of SRH by Mustafizur Rahman and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. Moises Henriques was named man of the match for all round performance with the bat and ball and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar was handed over the purple as he is now the leading wicket taker in the tournament with 21 wickets followed by Shane Watson of RCB with 20 wickets.

Sangakkara to play for Surrey post cricket world cup 2015

Sri Lankan star Kumara Sangakkara is in fine touch with bat will play for Surrey for the upcoming county season soon after the completion of cricket world cup 2015.
