Cricket world cup 2015, veteran Zimbabwe wicket keeper Brendan Taylor who is playing last match for Zimbabwe played a blistering innings of 138 runs in 110 balls against India, he smashed Ravindra Jadeja for 25 runs in 1 over. Brendan Taylor signed a three years contract with English county side Nottinghamshire, with this contract according to England and Wales cricket board( ECB) Brendan Taylor should resign for Zimbabwe country team. With the century he became the first Zimbabwe player to score 2 consecutive world cup centuries. Speaking on his retirement Taylor said that it is tough decision taken by him after consulting family and friends. In his 11 years career Taylor made 166 ODI’s and made 6950 runs with 145 as his best. He made 7207 in all formats. Winning against Australia in 2007 T20 world cup in which Brendan Taylor made 75* was memorable one for him. Under his captaincy Zimbabwe tasted many wins. He made his Debut in April 4,2004 vs Sri Lanka.

4. He holds the record of most number of runs by Zimbabwe batsman in single world cup with 434 runs. Earlier Neil Johnson scored 367 runs in 1999 WC.

5. He hold the record for most number of centuries in world cup.
