IPL 8 is coming closer, Mumbai Indians will add Shane Bond ahead of IPL 2015 Former New Zealand speedster Shane Bond will step down as bowling coach of New Zealand team post 2015 world cup and will join Mumbai Indians camp ahead of IPL 2015 which starts from April 8th. Mumbai Indians has appointed Shane Bond as new bowling coach to give team boost. He will join with other supporting staff which includes Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting, Robin Singh and fielding coach Jhonty Rhodes. Bond cited family reasons for quitting New Zealand’s bowling coach role. “It is very hard for my family to live without me as I am travelling with the team for 250-270 days a year and not having enough time to spend the time with my family thing once it is very hard for the family to live without me with 2 kids” Bond said. Bond has earlier played in Indian Premier League in 2010 for Kolkata Knight Riders. IPL 8 will kick start from April 8th and Mumbai Indians will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in their opening match. Auction for players will be held on Feb 16.
