India win over Bangladesh, qualifies for Semi finals
Cricket world cup 2015, India qualified for Semifinals with win over Bangladesh by 109 runs in the quarter finals at Melbourne cricket ground (MCG). Chains huge total of 303 runs, Bangladesh bowled out for 193 all out in 45 overs leaving big win for India. Chasing 303 runs Bangladesh lost wickets in regular intervals after good start from openers. 2 wickets in 7 overs changed the match to India, After that Bangladesh lost wickets regularly and seems no way of rebuilding innings. Nassir Hossain was the top scorer with 35 runs,Sabbir Rehman scored 30 runs. Shakib ul Hasan(21 runs),Mushfiqur Rahim(27) and Soumya Sarkar(29 runs) failed to convert them into big scores. Umesh Yadav was the top wicket taker with 4 wickets beside that Shami, Jadeja took 2 wickets each and Mohit Sharma scalped 1 wicket. Earlier, India scored 302 runs in 50 overs. Rohit Sharma(137 from 126 balls) who laid foundation with Shikhar Dhawan(30 from 50 balls) scored 122 runs partnership with Suresh Raina(65 from 57) ensured India through big score after 3 quick wickets after good start from openers . Ravindra Jadeja scored 25 from 10 balls which allowed ndia to go past 300 runs. Taskin Ahmed took 3 wickets while Shakib ul Hasan,Rubel Hossain and Mortaza scalped 1 wicket each in Bangladesh bowling. Rohit Sharma was awarded man of the match award for his brilliant century. Earlier,MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first. India will play semi finals of cricket world cup 2015 on 26 march against Australia or Pakistan. With this win India scalped 70 wickets 7 wickets which is a record.
