England who was out from quarters of cricket world cup 2015 ended their WC campaign with win over Afghanistan by 9 wickets(D/L method). Chasing target of 101 runs opener Alex Hales(37 from 33 balls) and Ian Bell(52 from 56 balls) started of the innings well and Alex got out, James Taylor(8 runs) with Ian Bell finished off the things in 18.2 overs. Hamid Hassan took 1 wicket in Afghanistan bowling. Before that, Afghanistan managed to score 111/7 runs in 36.2 overs. Shafiqullah Shifiq(30) was the top scorer. Chris Jordan and Ravi Bopara scalped two wickets each, Stuart Broad, Anderson and Tredwell took 1 wicket each in England bowling. Earlier England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and opted to field first. Chris Jordan was awarded with man of the match.

Kieron Pollard leaves ODI, return to West Indies board

The West Indies team has been qualified for the World cup 2019. The team has been qualified for the ICC world Cup in the qualifiers round in 2018. Though losing to Afghanistan in the final, the team has made a space in the World Cup 2019.
