Cricket World Cup 2015 started on February 14 but the real world cup started for cricket fans of India and Pakistan on February 15 because India vs Pakistan match will take place on that day. India and Pakistan played against each other for 5 times in World Cup history and they will be playing 6th time in Cricket World Cup 2015. In the 5 World cup matches India win all the matches over Pakistan and Pakistan have jinx of not winning against India in World cups. They want to break the jinx in Cricket World Cup 2015. Although Pakistan won more matches than India in all international matches they played against each other but they did not register a win against India in World cup yet. In head-to-head encounters, Pakistan win 72 of the 126matches and India won 54 matches. Another interesting thing is that Sachin Tendulkar played in all 5 world cup matches and for the first time India is facing Pakistan without Sachin Tendulkar in Cricket World Cup 2015. In 1992 World Cup – India won by 43 runs
India and Pakistan met for the first time in world cup history in 1992. India scored 216 runs on board and bowled out Pakistan for 173 runs. Sachin Tendulkar scored 54 runs in India innings.

In 1993 World Cup – India Won by 39 runs
They played for the second time in 1996 world cup which is hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. India scored 287 runs of the board with the help of Navjot Singh Siddhu( 93 runs) and Ajay Jadeja (45 runs). Indian Spinners Anil Kumble and Venkatapati raju pickets Pakistan wickets at regular interval. Pakistan lost the match despite Javed Mianded and Salim Malik batting efforts.

In 1999 World Cup – India won by 47 runs
India scored a good total of 227 runs with Tendulkar scoring 45 runs and Mohammad Azharuddin scored 59 runs. Pakistan was bowled out for 180 runs in which Venkatesh Prasad took a 5 wicket haul.

In 2003 World Cup --India won by 6 wickets
Pakistan batted first and scored 273 runs, opener Saeed Ajmal scored a century of 101 runs. Indian chased comfortably in which Sachin missed a century and scored 98 runs. At the end Rahul Dravid(44*) and Yuvraj Singh(50*) batted well to ensure victory

In 2011 World Cup – India won by 29 runs
Sachin Tendulkar scored 85 runs in the total of 260 runs by India. Pakistan’s Wahab Riaz took a 5/46. Pakistan started off well but struggled in middle overs. Misbah ul Haq scored 56 in Pakistan innings

Kieron Pollard leaves ODI, return to West Indies board

The West Indies team has been qualified for the World cup 2019. The team has been qualified for the ICC world Cup in the qualifiers round in 2018. Though losing to Afghanistan in the final, the team has made a space in the World Cup 2019.

On this take, Kieron Pollard has shared his excitement towards the team. Pollard said that he was delighted to see that the West Indies has been qualified for the World Cup 2019. While talking with the 30 year old, all rounder player Pollard that he is available to play one –day internationals for West Indies team.
