Zimbabwe gave a new role to Alistair Campbell

Former Zimbabwe captain and opener Alistair Campbell has been appointed as managing director of the Zimbabwe cricket board. Board chairman Wilson Manase confirmed on Wednesday that the 42 years old Campbell who featured in 60 tests and 188 ODIs as a batsman for his country will take the post of directing Zimbabwe Cricket. Present managing director Wilfred Mukondiwa will be assigned a new role.

Campbell's appointment was confirmed a day after Australian Dav Whatmore was officially presented as new Zimbabwe coach on Tuesday. Zimbabwe is hoping to perform well at ICC cricket world cup 2015 with this new staff. Manase also said that we are also looking for a batting coach before the cricket world cup 2015.
