Mandeep Singh lauds Yuvraj Singh for his brilliant performances

Mandeep Singh who was involved in a 227-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Yuvraj Singh who was on 95 not out for Punjab at the completion Day 1 of the 4th round of Ranji Trophy against Saurashtra and he believes that Yuvraj should be called to the Indian squad for the Australia series. “If not for the cricket World Cup 2015, he should be called for the Australia series. He belongs to international level not at this Ranji Trophy stage. And if form is the main criteria to get picked for the World Cup squad he should be picked for Cricket World Cup 2015. At Patiala he played a match winning knock and in last match at Pune he batted brilliantly. All three of his knocks have come on three quality wickets. He is batting well at the moment,” said Mandeep Singh after Yuvraj remained unbeaten on 95 and he was batting on 154 which its Punjab strong at 327/3.

Gavaskar backs Dhoni comment

India’s former veteran opener Sunil Gavaskar on Thursday backs Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his "unrest" comment that got the media talking about within which the Indian cricket team in Australia, saying that the Indian captain might have chosen a wrong word to describe the situation in the ongoing test series.
