Out of form Yuvraj Singh was released by RCB

Yuvraj Singh and Dinesh Karthik have been released by their respective franchises ahead of the auction for the upcoming 2015 IPL edition. Yuvraj was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the whopping price of Rs 14 crores while Delhi Daredevils have spent 12.5 crores to get Karthik in to the side. Muttiah Muralitharan, Albie Morkel, Ravi Rampaul, Sachin Rana, Shadab Jakati and Tanmay Mishra were the list released by the RCB. While 13 players including Kevin Pietersen, Murali Vijay and Ross Taylor, have been released by Delhi Daredevils, Wayne Parnell, Rahul Sharma, Jayadev Unadkat, Laxmi Ratan Shukla, J Neesham, Siddarth Kaul, Rahul Shukla, HS Sharath, Milind Kumar were the other players. The prices of players will be added to purse for the aution. Yuvraj is doing pretty well with bat in the ongoing Ranji Trophy.

Gavaskar backs Dhoni comment

India’s former veteran opener Sunil Gavaskar on Thursday backs Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his "unrest" comment that got the media talking about within which the Indian cricket team in Australia, saying that the Indian captain might have chosen a wrong word to describe the situation in the ongoing test series. Dhoni comment in the post-match presentation at the Gabba which gave hint and speculation of difference between middle order batsman Virat Kohli and opener Shikhar Dhawan but the visiting captain has cleared the rumour in pre match conference before the start of 3rd test in Melbourne.
