Duminy was new SACA president

South Africa player JP Duminy was elected as a President of the South African Cricketers' Association (SACA) at SACA's Annual General Meeting (AGM) of players in Johannesburg on Tuesday. The President and members of SACA's Players Executive Committee were elected by a vote of South Africa's professional cricketers including the South African team (men and women), the six franchise teams and the 13 domestic Provincial teams. The three players who have been elected on the Executive Committee are Farhaan Behardien (South Africa and Unlimited Titans), Omphile Ramela (Nashua Cape Cobras) and Staphen. "I am very happy and honoured that my fellow professional cricketers have shown their confidence in me," said JP Duminy. "Our players' association, SACA, plays an important role in South African cricket and I am glad to be asked by the players to be part of its leadership."
