Axar Patel will feature for India against Australia in place of injured Jadeja

BCCI has announced that Gujarat's all rounder Axar Patel will replace injured Ravindra Jadeja in the Indian squad for the remainder of the Test series against Australia. The injured left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja has been struggling from shoulder injury while training in the nets and he was not part of either the Adelaide or the Brisbane Tests. He will now return to India to undergo treatment. Axar Patel was the second injury replacement for this tour. Earlier Bhuvneshwar Kumar who suffered from ankle injury was replaced by Dhawal Kulkarni. "Axar Patel will join the Indian team against Australia for the remaining of the Test Series as a replacement for Ravindra Jadeja who is suffereing from a shoulder injury and will return to India to undergo a rehabilitation program," said BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel

Gavaskar backs Dhoni comment

India’s former veteran opener Sunil Gavaskar on Thursday backs Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his "unrest" comment that got the media talking about within which the Indian cricket team in Australia, saying that the Indian captain might have chosen a wrong word to describe the situation in the ongoing test series. Dhoni comment in the post-match presentation at the Gabba which gave hint and speculation of difference between middle order batsman Virat Kohli and opener Shikhar Dhawan but the visiting captain has cleared the rumour in pre match conference before the start of 3rd test in Melbourne.
