Mike Hussey supports Ferguson in place of Clarke for tests against India

Former Australian batsmen Mike Hussey supports Ferguson and gives a suggestion to selectors to give a chance for his test debut in the upcoming series against India in place of Michael Clarke if he is not fit for the 1ST test in the Brisbane. Hussey called upon the selectors to offer Callum Ferguson, who is the leading run-scorer in the Sheffield Shield, an opportunity to prove himself at Test level. "Personally I feel someone like Ferguson is ripe for the picking," he said. "He's leading the Sheffield Shield scoring and has been very consistent the last three years," he added. Ferguson who played for Australia in 2011 is performing in the domestic series and scored 140 runs against Victoria in the Sheffield Shield cricket matches. Hussey feels that he is 30 now and can play for another 8 years.
