Zaheer is unfit for Ranji trophy, Yadav to captain the team

Zaheer khan was not fit and has not been considered for Mumbai Ranji Trophy match against Jammu & Kashmir which is to be played at the Wankhade stadium from December 7.It is understood that Zaheer is yet to report to the Mumbai Cricket Association physiotherapist about fitness and should undertake fitness test. Zaheer was bowling in the nets but is believed to be far from ready for competitive cricket. Zaheer has been out of action for more than six months after suffering from injury on his bowling arm during IPL 2014. With Rohit and Ajinkya Rahane away on India duty the selectors then had to choose between Suryakumar and Nayar for the captaincy. The Mumbai selectors have appointed a young captain Surya Kumar Yadav. Selectors had approached opening batsman Wasim Jaffer to take over the job but Jaffer declined it.

Umpire died after hit by the cricket ball

Before getting out of the shock of Hughes death An Israeli umpire was died after he was struck by a ball during a league game in the port city of Ashdod, south of Tel Aviv. The incident shocked everyone as the cricket world mourns the passing of Australia batsman Phillip Hughes this week from head injuries after being struck by a ball. During the league game in Ashdod the ball hit by the batsman was ricocheted off the stumps and struck the umpire Hillel Awasker. Israel newspaper Haaretz quoted that doctors who tried to resuscitate Awasker as saying that he suffered a heart attack after being hit by the ball. Awasker was taken to hospital in a critical condition and doctors were unable to revive him. Awasker was a former captain of the Israel team and had represented Israel in five ICC trophies since 1982.

Clarke paid tribute to Hughes before his birthday

Clarke paid tribute to Phil Hughes by writing an emotional tribute in his newspaper column on Saturday before Hughes 26th birthday but he is not there with us. A fully disturbed and emotional Clarke appeared before media on Saturday morning to express the grief of the players and their love for Hughes and on Sunday news paper Clarke's column was appeared in the Sunday Telegraph. Clarke wrote that Hughes was loyal and sincere, optimistic and kind-hearted with a wicked sense of humor and with a childish behavior. They two first met when Hughes was 17 and moved from the country town of Macksville to play club cricket in Sydney for Western Suburbs which was the same club that Clarke was representing. He also said that he has no blood brother and Hughes is like my brother.

Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene ensured another easy win to Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has registered another easy win against England in the 2nd ODI at Premadasa stadium .England won the toss and elected to bat first but none of their players withstand at the Crease for a long time. England scored 185 in 50overs in which Bopara scored 51 runs and in Sri Lanka bowlers Mendis took 3 wickets. Chasing a very easy target of 186 Sri Lankan openers lost their wickets early but Kumara Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene batted really well with their vast experience scoring 67 and 77 respectively and ensured another win for Sri Lanka which took their lead to 2-0. Mahela Jayawardene was awarded man of the match.

First test between India and Australia postponed after Hughes death

First test between India and Australia at Brisbane which is scheduled to start on December 4 was postponed after the unexpected tragedy of Hughes death Cricket Australia have confirmed this and Philip Hughes funeral is set to take place at 2 pm on December 3 in the sports hall of Macksville High School which is the home town of Hughes. "We are grateful to the Australian community for the overwhelming show of support it has extended to the Hughes family in recent days," said cricket Australia CEO Sutherland. Kohli is more approachable than Dhoni says Yadav

Fast bowler Yadav says that Virat Kohli is more approachable as captain than MS Dhoni for the youngsters in the team. Though MS Dhoni shows an open culture within the team, we found Virat Kohli friendlier because he belonged to the same age-group as the rest of the team while Dhoni is the senior player in the team. But it is a different atmosphere under Virat. Being of the same age group helps us to talk freely, discussing your problems becomes easy," Umesh said. "Don't get me wrong. Dhoni also keeps a very open channel for dialogue, but he is such a senior player so we are always a bit reserved. Practice match between India and Australia has been cancelled

Second practice match between India and Australia which was scheduled on Friday and Saturday was abandoned following the death of Phil Hughes death today. Cricket Australia will decide over the coming days how to approach the first test in Brisbane which starts on Thursday next week. Four players in Australia's test squad were on the field when Hughes was struck by fatal blow during the Sheffield Shield game between New South Wales and South Australia on Tuesday. Cricket Australia has also cancelled the Sheffield Shield round matches. We thought that far ahead and we really don't think that it is right time to play first test", said cricket Australia CEO Sutherland. "The whole of Australian cricket is grieving now and we want to provide the Hughes family all the support we can give. The India team will practice nets on Friday but not on the ground as a mark of respect to Hughes. After Hughes died the India squad released a statement offering its condolences to Hughes.

Australia team doctor Brukner informed in the statement that Phil Hughes passed away at the age of 25 and he never regained his consciousness during the treatment and was in a state of induced coma with fractured skull. Sri Lanka’s off spinner Sachithra Senanayake who is currently under the ICC ban due to his suspect bowling action has undergone an unofficial test in Chennai with human movement specialist Daryl Foster as well as with local coaches. Senanayake had been reported for his suspect bowling action during Sri Lanka tour of England in June. PCB looks for review of ICC ban on Amir

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has written a letter to ICC asking the apex body of the game to review the ban on 22-year-old fast bowler Mohammad Amir in the light of the recent revision in the anti-corruption code which ICC made recently. "We have asked the ICC to give advice on how it would be possible for Amir to make an early return to domestic cricket after the changes in the anti-corruption code," PCB official said. Amir is currently under a 5-year ban from cricket after admitting to be involved in spot-fixing during Pakistan's tour of England in 2010 in which Salman Butt and fellow pacer Mohammad Asif also received bans for their role in corrupting the game.PCB has conveyed to ICC to look into Amir ban which will end in September 2015 as per new ICC anti corruption code. "He's aggressive and he's very young, so the exuberance is still seen in him, which is very good for the team. And I see a bit of myself in him," Shastri said. Supreme Court revealed some players names in Mudgal report

IPL 2013 fixing and betting scandal which shakes the world cricket as cricket was a gentlemen game. Mudgal committee has given its report to Supreme Court and SC asked for a hearing on November 14 and revealed seven names out of 13 named in the Mudgal report. Justice TS thakur and FSM kalifullah said that reports are made available for both the lawyers to make the arguments on the next hearing on November 24.

Michael Clarke puts himself out of South Africa series due to injury

Michael Clarke, Who played 1st ODI against South Africa was ruled out of remaining matches in the series due to injury. Clarke was reinjured with his hamstring injury again in 1st ODI against South Africa. Team Australia has confirmed this after the scanning reports but did not say any information about playing test with India on December 4th. "Clarke has taken scans today in Perth for his ongoing left hamstring problem and as a result has been ruled out of the remaining matches in the ODI series. He will return to Sydney for further treatment and an update on his fitness for the first Test in Brisbane will be made in due course," Said Australia team doctor Peter Brukner. With world cup 2015 is just 3months away coach Lehmann said that Australia can win the world cup without Clarke but playing with Clarke gives us additional advantage and confidence, He added.

ICC puts an end to super over in the Cricket World Cup 2015

ICC introduced the super over to decide the match result when it ended in a tie. But now ICC is in a thought of putting an end to super over in Cricket world cup 2015 and are willing to follow their tested method ‘group position’ to decide the result in the knock out matches but if the final ends in a tie then the cup will be shared by two teams. Hafeez was reported for suspect bowling action

ICC was picking out players for their suspect bowling actions in the recent time. Many players were already under suspension and some are to be tested soon. Hafeez was another player to be reported for his suspect bowling action soon after the completion of 1st test against newzealand. Sachin Tandulkar predicted the semi finalist teams for the cricket world cup 2015

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar predicted the semi finalists for the Cricket world cup 2015 at the press conference at Lord’s London when he was promoting his auto biography ‘Playing It My Way’. According to him Australia,South Africa,Newzealand and India are his semi finalists. When asked about England chances of winning world cup he said ”I don’t think so but anything is possible in this sport but going on current form I don’t think England will be that competitive”. While talking about spinners role in the forth coming world cup he said “I feel India can surprise a lot of people and I also believe that spinners will come in to play in the upcoming world cup. Sachin also expresses his stand on DRS and diverged from BCCI saying that use of DRS should be standardized. When asked about current stand off between India and west indies he maintained silence. Sachin was optimistic about future of test cricket because of T20 format and somebody who favours T20 can get converted to Test cricket fan.
