India won the First Warm Up Match Against Australia

India won the first warm up match that they played against Australia in Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan were left out of the match. With India winning the toss and electing to bat, the Indian openers Sehwag and Gambhir did not gave that good start later as Gautam Gambhir fell for 6 runs to Bollinger while trying to play towards the third man. Later Sehwag along with Kohli made the score board ticking. Meanwhile Kohli got out for 21 and later Sehwag fell for 54 runs. Latr Yusuf Pathan played a blistering innings of 32 which included two sixes.Ashwin and Nhra down the order made some valuable runs and ended up posting a score of 214 on the board. Brett Lee looked to be in fine touch with good bowling and three wickets.

Chasing a score of 215 runs, Australian openers Watson and Tim Paine gave a very good start to the team and the match looked to be resulting in a very easy win for the Australians. Later the Indian spinners damaged the Australian innings by picking up the very important middle order wickets of the Kangaroos. Ponting was he only one to score a 50 in the Australian batting line up. Piyush Chawla and R Ashwin were the pick of the bowlers for India as they damaged the entire Australian batting line up giving India a comfortable win over the Aussies with 38 runs.
