After Sehwag’s dismissal Sachin along with Gambhir kept the runs coming. Meanwhile Gambhir got out after getting to his fifty. Yuvraj entered the crease after the dismissal of Gambhir. Sachin showed all his master class and paced his innings beautifully scoring his 47th ODI century (5th World Cup century) and 97th century including Test and ODI formats of the game. Later he got out for 120 runs which included eight fours and five sixes. Later Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh made a quick fifty partnership and after that Yuvraj got to his fifty and got out soon. But soon Munaf Patel provided the required break through for India taking off Pietersen’s wicket. Trott who arrived to the crease became a victim of Chawla for 16 runs. Bell joined Strauss and it was from then India started losing their way in the game inspite of scoring 338 runs. Strauss played a wonderful knock with his first world cup century and on the other side Bell equally played well and played a great role in bringing England very very close to the target. Till Zaheer returned to bowl his last spell it was England’s match, it was then Zak used all his experience and took the wickets of Strauss and Bell in successive balls. It was a situation in which either India or England could win. Later the lower order batsman contributed to England with the bat including Bresnan, Swann and Shahzad which had made the match end up in a tie and hence the fourth tie match in a world cup history. This is a great match of cricket and is fabulous to watch. Thanks to both the teams for playing such wonderful cricket.
