Sachin Tendulkar - ICC Player Of The Year ‎2010

At the seventh ICC awards function held at Banglore the little master Sachin Tendulkar bagged ‘ICC Player of the year award 2010’ for the first time in his career. He was the second Indian to receive the prestigious award after Rahul Dravid. The mastero also won the ‘People choice award’ for the year 2010 which was the category introduced for the first time in ICC awards. He was also chosen as part of the team in both Test team and ODI team of the year.

The other awards announced at the event are:
  • Test Team of the year: India
  • ODI Team of the year: Australia
  • Test player of the year: Virender Sehwag (India)
  • ODI player of the year: AB de Villiers (South Africa)
  • ICC Spirit of Cricket: New Zealand
  • Best Twenty20 performance of the year: Brendon McCullum (116* against Australia)
  • Umpire of the year: Aleem Dar (Pakistan)
  • Emerging player of the year: Steven Finn (England)
  • ICC Associate player of the year: Ryan ten Doeschate (New Zealand)

ICC Test team of the year: MS Dhoni (Captain), Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar,  Simon Katich, Hashim Amla, Kumar Sangakkara, Jacques Kallis, Graeme Swann, Dale Steyn, Doug Bollinger and James Anderson.

ICC ODI team of the year: Ricky Ponting (Captain), Shane Watson, Sachin Tendulkar, AB de Villiers, Paul Collingwood, MS Dhoni, Michael Hussey, Daniel Vettori, Ryan Harris, Stuart Broad and Doug Bollinger.
