Murali Vijay Hits Maiden Test Century

Murali Vijay who has come into the side in place of injured Gautam Gambhir for the second test match against Australia has utilized his opportunity very well by making a maiden test century, helping India to steer to a comfortable position along with Sachin Tendulkar in the last and final test against the Kangaroos. He made 139 in 310 balls before getting caught behind the wickets after a good fightback against the Australians score of 478 in the first innings. Vijay took 11 balls to get to the three-figure mark from 99 runs. He was involved in an important record partnership of 308 runs which put India in a command able position at the end of 3rd day in the second test match.
