Dope Testing Under Wada

The dope testing programme of 2011 Cricket World cup will come under WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) compliant code with a modified whereabouts clause. The ICC agreed to launch the programme with a belief that, if cricket is to make world events like the Olympics which would help the game grow globally it is important to introduce the anti-doping code. The ICC finally accepted to launch the WADA-compliant code after a long stand-off between the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and the ICC.
Due to security reasons and violation of privacy during the off-season, players of India and few other countries are unwilling to sign the controversial whereabouts clause. However, the ICC will be conducting doping test for all the players for Cricket 2011 World Cup.
