India or Sri Lanka May Win ICC WorldCup 2011: Rodney Marsh

Australian former wicketkeeper Rodney Marsh stated that the hot favorites in the World Cup to be held in the sub-continent would be India and Sri Lanka. Rodney played for Australia in 1975 and 1983 World Cups and represented Australia in 92 ODIs.

He said that both the countries will have an edge as the world cup is being hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh together. Further he added that Australia’s chances in the tournament depend on how they play against India in the ongoing series and against England in the Ashes. As the World Cup is being hosted in the sub-continent it will be very difficult for teams like Australia, England, South Africa and New Zealand to succeed so certainly a tam from Asia would be successful according to Marsh.
